Welcome

Welcome!

If you're searching for a religious home that is guided by a quest for truth and meaning, not by a set creed or dogma, we invite you to discover Unitarian Universalism. We are a caring, open–minded religious community that encourages you to seek your own spiritual path. Unitarian Universalist (UU) congregations are places where people gather to nurture their spirits and put their faith into action by helping to make our communities—and the world—a better place.

December 4:

“Our UU Christian Path”

Rev. Bonnie Devlin will speak.  In our ‘UU Spectrum of Beliefs’ series, we have covered Theism, Earth-Centered, and now our remaining two points of belief: Christianity and Humanism (in January). This is the holiday season of many celebrations, but the most visible and pervasive is the holy day of Christmas.  Our Unitarian Universalist heritage is fully grounded in the Judeo-Christian tradition, and so this is a fitting time to explore the beliefs and practices of UU Christianity. Many thousands of UU’s identify as Liberal Christians, who focus on the teachings and ministry of Jesus, so let us celebrate the Advent season through the lens of our UU Christian heritage.

“Waiting In The Silence”

Rev. Bonnie Devlin will speak.
As we continue the season of Advent and spiritual expectation of all traditions, we have a rich opportunity to also engage in silent reflection on our lives.  All musicians know that without silence there is no music.  One might even ask “was the Big Bang preceded and followed by silence?”  Another aspect of this season is that of anticipation—of material manifestations, but also of spiritual and contemplative waiting—if we choose to practice this form of growth.   We shall explore this very poignant time of year and what it means to wait in ‘the silence.’
