Our February Share-a-Dish will take place Fri. Feb. 10th starting with hors d'oeuvres at 6pm. This will be a special event as we are featuring Mindy Simmons and our own Hot Pockets "literally singing for their supper" and throughout the evening. This event is open to the public so bring your friends, a dish to share and join us. We look forward to seeing you there!

MUUF’s Annual Live Auction
and Lunch
Sunday, February 26th!
Our annual auction is a vital part of our congregation both for meeting our budget and for building community. It gives us a chance to show off or share our talents since most of the items are donated by none other than MUUF members! We have many unique events such as the dinners and trips that occur throughout the year i.e. Ed and Al’s Mystery Dinner, Lorraine’s Gourmet Ethnic Dinner, Kim and Zada’s Lasagna Dinner, Joan’s “Name That Tune” Afternoon, Watercolor Art Lessons with Chris, and the moderately priced Thrift Shops Excursion. After all, ya’ gotta eat and you might as well have fun! Why not spend time together with UU members and friends so that you may get to know them better!
The Silent Auction will begin on Sunday, Feb. 19 and finish the following Sunday just before the Live Auction on Feb. 26. There’s still time to complete promissory notes (available on the table in the social room) if you haven’t donated anything yet or have thought of something else you’d like to add. Feb. 5 is the deadline so that all items and events can be listed in the catalog. Be sure to put a date and time for events so that we are able to put a complete schedule together and enable bidders to pre-check their calendars.
There will also be many wonderful items, artwork, gift certificates, etc. from our members and from local businesses and artists to bid on in the Silent Auction and Live Auction. There will also be 50/50 raffle with tickets sold for a mere $1, giving you a chance to win some money.
To register for participating in the auction (which includes lunch) you may do so beginning Feb. 12 by signing up and paying $5. This will help with planning the food and you will receive your bidding number and a copy of the catalog when you do so. If you are unable to attend the Live Auction, remember that you can still participate by donating items. You could also have another member bid for you using your bidding number.
Let’s all get excited and enjoy the friendly competition when bidding! Remember, it’s all about the fun we have throughout the year with all the events!
